Everything comes from public data: your GitHub profile and up to 300 of your most recently pushed public repos, read straight from GitHub's API in your browser. Nothing is stored anywhere except this browser tab's cache. The same profile always gives the same character; it changes only when your GitHub does.
The first rule that fits, top to bottom:
Each original repo's main language counts for 1 + log₂(1 + stars), so popular repos weigh more. A few habits come first: under two original repos with code makes a Yeoman; 60%+ forks a Nightcutter; most repos finished within a week a Riftbound; 70%+ without a description a Reaver; no kind of code above 30% across six or more languages a Cartographer. Otherwise your biggest kind of code decides:
Each of the nine starts from one number (on a log scale, 3 to 21), then your race and profession add their modifiers from the game, capped at 25:
Experience = 10 per original repo + 1 per star + 2 per fork of your work + ½ per follower + 25 per year on GitHub + 2 per fork you made. Level = 1 + 3 × log₂(1 + exp/25), up to 50. HP and PP follow the game's rules from Endurance, Aether, your profession's hit and power dice and your level. Gold is 10 per star plus 25 per fork (Factors start rich: double). Hollow marks are your archived repos.
The Vigil tends what it has named: repos alive for over a year, licensed, described. The Rift tries things and moves on: repos done within a week, forks, no description. The balance between them gives your creed code, from V+ through B= to R-, and your deity: Aelthe, Ondra or Vhask.
Your six most-starred original repos, as gear: +1 enchantment for roughly every tripling of stars. Blessed if it has a licence and a description, cursed if archived. Traits are titles from fun facts: your oldest repo (Heir), your longest-tended (Unbroken), then whichever rarer ones you've earned.
